OLD TOWN – Elizabeth W. Michaud, 83, passed away April 8, 2008, at an Orono health care facility. She was born Feb. 10, 1925, the daughter of Jerome Smith and Vivian (Moors) (Smith) Pyle. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Old Town. Elizabeth loved spending time with her family, sewing and doing crafts. Liz and some of her friends would get together and do crafts at least once a month in her younger years. She also enjoyed her time being employed at Cutlers, where her talent was brought out with the many wedding dresses she altered there. She also loved flower arranging and travel, especially cruises. She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her children, Jerome E. Michaud and wife, Claudette, of Mary Ester, Fla., and Francis P. Michaud of Bradley; two sisters, Evelyn Pellitier and husband, Paul, of Milford and Nina Morse and husband, Richard, of Eddington; two brothers, Ernie Pyle and wife, Brenda, of Veazie, and Hadley Pyle and wife, Debbie, of Jacksonville, Fla. Elizabeth is survived by her grandchildren, Francis Jay Michaud and wife, Rebecca, Jerry Paul Michaud, Lynn Marie Bennett and husband, John, Suzie Theriault and husband, John and family, Cynthia England and husband, Steve and family, Angela McQuate and family, Debbie Glidden and husband, Bob and family, Michelle Turner and family; and great-grandchildren, Francis Ryan Michaud, Daniel and Travis Bennett; along with several nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by a longtime friend, who was like a daughter she never had, Gloria J. Michaud. Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents; as well as her husband, Francis Michaud. Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 11, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12, at Holy Family Church, 429 Main Street, Old Town. A reception will be immediately after the service.
