LITTLETON – Ella G. Currier, 88, passed peacefully Feb. 10, 2005, with her loving family by her side. She was born May 1, 1916, in Littleton, the daughter of the late Norman Ami and Nellie Mabel (Wiggins) Currier. Ella was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and sister. Her main purpose in life was to be loving and giving to her family and many others. She is remembered for her excellent cooking and unconditional love. Some of the many things she enjoyed were working in her garden and later relaxing on the porch bench with her shades on. She was a member of the Littleton Baptist Church for more than 50 years. She leaves behind her loving daughter, Norma J. Tarr of Dyer Brook; two granddaughters, Michelle L. Tarr of Falmouth and Janelle J. Tarr of Oakfield; one sister, Dora A Brewer; two brothers, Harry K. and Herbert L. Currier, all of Littleton. She was predeceased by four brothers, Elmer, Samuel, George and Francis Currier. Jan Davis, an addition to the family, had been a dedicated and compassionate caregiver. After five years of devotion, Jan has become a true member of Ella’s family. The bond they shared will be everlasting. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. David Tuttle officiating.
