MANCHESTER, N.H. – Elmer Gilpatrick passed away Christmas morning, Dec. 25, 2007, of a heart condition. He was born in Houlton, to Verner and Viola Gilpatrick. Elmer graduated from Bangor High School, attended Duke University and served in the Army as an officer during the Korean War. He was a sales representative for Bostitch Staples and part-time author, writing short stories; some of which where published. He was predeceased by his parents; and a sister, Willa-dean Dew. He was married to Anne Gellert Gilpatrick, who also predeceased him. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Traci Swift; stepson, Dan Lubell of Iowa; and brother, Waldo Gilpatrick of West Gardiner. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the care of Kincer Funeral Home, 130 Pleasant St., Richmond.
