UNION – Elmer E. Jameson II, 91, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2005, at his home in Union. He was born Oct. 17, 1914, in Warren, a son of Elmer E. Jameson Sr. and Nettie Norwood Jameson. He graduated from Warren High School, Class of 1932. He attended Rockland Business School. Elmer married Laura Wallace in 1935, and they made their home in Waldoboro. He went into partnership with his father at E.E. Jameson Plumbing and Heating. After the war in 1945, Donald B. Wallace became a partner in the business and the new name was, Jameson & Wallace Plumbing and Heating. He continued working until his son, Elmer E. “Buddy” Jameson III came into the business. In 1969, Elmer “Buddy” Jameson III bought his uncle’s, Donald B. Wallace, share and the business became Jameson’s Plumbing and Heating. Elmer’s wife Laura died in 1975. He married Annabelle White in 1976, and they made their home in Union. Elmer retired in 1977. He enjoyed taking many camping and mountain climbing adventures with young people through his involvement with youth groups and Boy Scouts. He especially enjoyed these adventures with his own family. He was predeceased by his parents; a daughter, Penelope C. Jameson; sisters, Ruth Richardson and her husband, Chester, Mary McGraw and her husband, Henry. He is survived by his wife, Annabelle Jameson of Union; daughter, Priscilla Simmons and her husband, Albert, of Friendship; son, Elmer E. “Buddy” Jameson III and his wife, Carol, of Friendship; stepchildren, Nancy Howard of Lincolnville, Lorna Pyzynski of Bangor, Diane Jerome of Randolph, Loraine Tamas of Connecticut; grandchildren, Elizabeth Overlock of Friendship, Amy Simmons of Augusta, Michael Jameson of Friendship, Michelle Jameson of Naples; seven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, at the Peoples United Methodist Church of Union, with the Rev. Michelle Grube, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Peoples United Methodist Church of Union, P.O. Arrangements are entrusted to Hall Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 949 Main St., Waldoboro.
