EAGLE LAKE – Elmer J. Nadeau, 83, beloved husband of the late Marie Lucille (DesRoberts) Nadeau, died June 8, 2004, at a Fort Kent hospital. He was born June 18, 1920, in Winterville, the son of Vincent and Amanda (Daigle) Nadeau. He was a World War II era veteran. He is survived by one son, Vaughn Nadeau, of Panama City, Fla.; two daughters, Regina Baillargeon of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Veronica Gutowski of West Yarmouth, Mass.; three brothers, Ervin of Ashland, Vincent of Bathurst, New Brunswick, Camille of Palm Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Cora Tardy of Presque Isle, and Kathleen Clark of East Hartford, Conn.; one granddaughter, Stacie Gutowski; and two grandsons, Pierre Elliott Baillargeon and Samuel Ryan Nadeau; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife in 1992; two brothers, Edwin and Eldon Nadeau; and one sister, Hedwidge Albert. Friends may call at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent, 8 a.m. Thursday until time of departure for Eagle Lake. A Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Eagle Lake, with the Rev. Bill Labbe officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the parish cemetery.
