DOVER-FOXCROFT – Janis Houston Mountain, 70, wife of Harold R. Mountain, died June 6, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Dec. 25, 1933, in Milo, the daughter of Dr. Wallace S. and Esther (Mace) Houston. She was a graduate of Milo High School and Lasalle Junior College. She was a former member of the Patawa Club, the Eastern Maine Lasalle Alumni Club, and the Milo “Girls” Coffee Klatch. She is survived by her husband of more than 50 years, Harold of Dover-Foxcroft; a son, James and his wife, Rebecca, of Bangor; a daughter, Tamara Moore of Dover-Foxcroft; a daughter-in-law, Nicolette Mountain of Cumberland; four grandchildren, John Moore Jr., Jeremy, Gina and Branden Mountain. She was predeceased by a son, Angus, on May 4, 2004. A graveside memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 2004, at the family lot in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter, with Pastor Maurice Neal officiating.
