WASHBURN- Elmer E. Myshrall, 75, died Dec. 2, 2004, at his Washburn residence. He was born July 23, 1929, in Washburn the son of Henry and Marguerite (McCarthy) Myshrall. He served with the US Army during World War II and was a member of the Washburn American Legion. On April 20, 1950, he married Captola “Tolly” Chapman. Mr. Myshrall was employed first as an inspector for the State of Maine Agriculture Dept and then as a fruit and produce inspector for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Following his retirement he was a self employed master oil burner technician. Elmer was a member and past master of Washburn Lodge AF & AM, was a member of Bektash Temple Shrine of New Hampshire, Anah Temple Shrine, The Anah Temple Indy Car Unit and the Aroostook Shrine Club. Mr. Myshrall served on the Washburn Town Council for several years and was also a member of the Washburn Volunteer Fire Department for many years. Surviving in addition to his wife of over 54 years, Tolly of Washburn; are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Malcolm Myshrall of Washburn, and Michael and Wendy Myshrall of St. Cloud, Fla.; one brother, Peter Myshrall and his wife, Nancy of Winterville; one sister, Avis Holcomb and her husband, Dan, of Muskegon, Mich.; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, until time of funeral services which will be held 1 p.m. from the funeral home with the Rev. John Palmer, officiating. Interment will be in the Crouseville Cemetery.
