CUSHING – Elmore M. “Ellie” Polk, 83, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family and faithful dog, Sophie, Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at Knox Center for Long Term Care, Rockland. Family and friends are invited to visit 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 9, at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 104 Limerock St., Rockland. A celebration of her life will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St., Rockland, with the Rev. Wayne Sawyer officiating. A reception will be held immediately after at 104 Limerock St. A graveside committal will be announced at a later date.
