VALRICO, Fla. – Eloise H. Myers, 89, died March 10, 2005, supported by family. A resident of Valrico, Fla., Eloise was born in Hodgdon, and raised in Skowhegan. She spent most of her life in Old Town, where she taught and headed the Social Studies department at Old Town High School. When she retired from teaching, her classroom number was retired as well. Eloise was an avid reader who enjoyed spending summers at Cold Stream Pond. She held master’s and bachelor’s degrees in education from the University of Maine in Orono, and attended the Farmington Normal School. She is survived by son, Scott Myers and his wife, Eileen, of Valrico, Fla.; daughter, Brenda Myers, of Sedgwick; granddaughter, Jody Myers, of Philadelphia, Pa.; and grandson, Darren Myers, of LaCrosse, Wis. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank In lieu of flowers please send donations to The American Heart Association. A memorial service will be held in Maine in July 2005.
