SWANVILLE – Miss Eloyce Annette Kenney, 64, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2006, surrounded by her loving family and friends, at Waldo County General Hospital. She was born Sept. 19, 1941, in Bangor, to Meylan Marden and Annie Danforth. “Annette” worked as a seamstress for many years and enjoyed cooking, song writing and playing her guitar. She had a deep love for being outside in the sun and water, and was always delighted to challenge any visitor to a game of Scrabble. Surviving Miss Kenney are her father, Meylan Marden of Stafford Springs, Conn.; her mother, Annie Danforth of Frankfort; her siblings, Victor Marden of Galles Ferry, Conn., Ralph Marden of Harrington, Lana Kelegy, Loma Clark, Meylan Marden Jr. and Joseph Marden, all of Stafford Springs, Conn., Patricia Hanson of Middleton, N.H., Dennis Danforth of South Addison, Elsie Gerry and Edna Bowden of Northport, Daniel Danforth and Norman Danforth of Frankfort; her children, Felicia Thomas, Letitia Thomas and Kara Kenney, all of Belfast, Troy Thomas of Paisley, Fla., Annie Kenney of Rockland and Jessica Kenney of Greensboro, N.C.; her grandchildren, Troy Thomas Jr. of Brooks, Annie Doughty of Interlachen, Fla., Kenneth Thomas of Paisley, Fla. and Paxton Mohney of Belfast; her great-grandchildren, McKenzie Thomas of Brooks, and Damian Doughtly of Interlachen, Fla.; many nieces, nephews, close friends; and her faithful feline companion, Garfield. Honoring her request, there will be no funeral service. Family and friends will celebrate her life 2 p.m. Saturday, July 8, at the home of her daughter, Letitia Thomas, 52 Mill Lane, Belfast. Special thanks to the staff of Waldo County General Hospital and Dr. David Thanhauser for providing compassionate, exceptional care.
