BANGOR – Elsie I. Hand passed away July 25, 2004, in Bangor. She was born May 18, 1926, in Carmel, the daughter of J. Boyd Hand and Mildred Emery Hand. Elsie is survived by one daughter, Janet Peavey Brown of Bangor, and her special friend, Ralph Jones; two sons, Gilman Peavey Jr. and his wife, Vicky, of Carmel, and Michael Peavey and his wife, Brenda, of Orlando, Fla.; three grandchildren, Craig Peavey of Hickory, Ky., Lisa Peavey of Kenduskeag, and Scott Peavey of Carmel; three great-grandchildren, Jonathan of Kenduskeag, and Alexis and Casandra of Hickory, Ky.; one brother, Kevan Hand and his wife, Marie, of Carmel; two sisters, Dianne and her husband, Dale, of Newport, and Marilyn St. Louis of Carmel. She will also be remembered by many special friends, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother and father; and a brother, Johnny. At her request there will be no services.
