FORT KENT and EAGLE LAKE – Emile LeBoeuf, 76, died June 1, 2008, at a Bangor health care facility. He was born Oct. 24, 1931, at Eagle Lake, the son of Florent and Imelda (Dube) LeBoeuf. Emile will be remembered as a very quiet, kind and generous man, anywhere he saw a need, he helped, often anonymously. His family was of utmost importance to him. He enjoyed playing cards, especially cribbage. Every spring he enjoyed fishing the Miramichi River. He was a past member of the Board of Directors of Aroostook Trust Logging Contractor. He owned and operated a shingle mill in Plaisted for many years. He also bought and sold real estate and was a lumber contractor. Emile served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Jacqueline (Long) LeBoeuf of Fort Kent; five children, Lili and her husband, Bill Norman, and their son, Patrick, all of Tampa, Fla., Louise and her husband, Peter Smith, and their children, Zachary and Georgia, all of Cousin’s Island, Parise Dubay and her children, Sarah, Noelle and Noah, all of Fort Kent, Phillip LeBoeuf, and his children, Bailey and Johnny and his partner, Sonya Deschaine, and her children, Mathew and Sam, all of Eagle Lake, Jacques LeBoeuf of Oakland, Calif.; four siblings, Florence and her husband, Louis Albert, of Eagle Lake, Rose Marie and her husband, Don Watson, of Falmouth, Calif., Gabrielle (Ezzy) and her husband, Quentin Smart, of Fort Kent and Jean Louis LeBoeuf of Eagle Lake; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated with full military honors 10 a.m. Saturday, June 7, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Eagle Lake. Per families request, there will be no visiting hours Saturday prior to the service.
