ALBANY, N.Y. – Erma Elsemore Snow passed away Friday, May 27, 2005, after a long illness at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home in Albany, N.Y. Erma was born June 28, 1918, in Island Falls, the daughter of the late Erma Vincent and Wyman Elsemore. She moved to Greenville, as a child and lived there until 1974. Following the death of her husband, Carl Snow and son, James, Erma moved to Jupiter Island, Fla. and Rangeley. In 1997, she moved to Albany, N.Y. Erma was a member of the Union Evangelical Church, the Ready Workers and Maine Rebekahs. Surviving are her daughters, Sara Dyer of New Gloucester and Ruth Dickinson of Altamont, N.Y.; one son, Peter Snow of Pittsfield; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Carl; her son, James; a sister and three brothers. A private celebration of her life will be held by her family and burial will be in Greenville. Donations in her memory may be made to the Union Evangelical Church, Greenville, or the Greenville High School Auditorium Building Fund. Arrangements are by the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont, N.Y.
