CUTLER – Erna M. Davis, 66, passed away Dec. 15, 2003, at a Machias hospital. She was born Sept. 6, 1937, at Machiasport, the daughter of Ralph L. and Grace E. Wood. She was a graduate of Machias High School, Class of 1955 and was a member of the Head of the River Baptist Church, Cutler. She married Charles E. Davis June 10, 1959. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her parents; her husband, Charles; three sons, Brent and fianc‚e, Wanda, of Cutler, Wendell and wife, Loraine, of Cutler, Glenn and wife, Rene, of Carmel; six grandchildren, Brent Jr., Crystal, Keisha, Quincy, Nathaniel and Nicholas; two great-grandchildren, Brooke and Alvin Jr.; five stepgrandchild-ren, Jessica, Jennifer, Jay, Trevor and Traci; four great-stepgrandchildren, Kirsten, Kyle, Gage and Kade; two sisters, June Kennedy and husband, Carroll, of Gray and Beverly Richardson of Machiasport; two brothers, Gerald Wood and wife, Judy, and Dale Wood and wife, Beverly, of Machiasport, and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by a special lifelong friend, Norma Davis. She was predeceased by a son, Charles “Chucky ” Davis; and a grandson, Daniel Charles Davis. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at the New Cutler Cemetery, Cutler.
