FORT KENT – Ernest P. Voisine, 75, husband of Beatrice “Pe-nut” (Levesque) died Jan. 19, 2004, at a local hospital. He was born June 11, 1928, in Fort Kent, the son of Peter and Yvonne (Guimond) Voisine. Ernest was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the VFW Lozier O’Grady Post 9609 of Fort Kent. He is survived by his wife of Fort Kent; seven children, Lloyd Voisine and his wife, Carol, of St. Agatha, Dana Voisine of Hermon, Gail Marquis and her husband, Armand, of Wallagrass, Reno Voisine and his wife, Valeria, of Frenchville, Gary Voisine of Hawaii, Terry Voisine and his wife, Windy, of St. Francis, Cheryl Daigle and her husband, Jamie, of Daigle; two brothers, Raoul Voisine of Fort Kent, and James Voisine of Presque Isle; two sisters, Sylvia Bouchard and her husband, John, of Fort Kent, Rita Morneault and her husband, Rino, of Frenchville; 12 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; three brothers, Claude, Lawrence and Hermel; and three sisters, Tina, Bernadette and Anita. There will be no visitations at the funeral home on Friday prior to the funeral. Friends and relatives are invited to go directly to the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent, for a 10 a.m. funeral mass with the Rev. Bill Labbe, followed by full military honors. Spring burial will be in the Caribou Veterans Cemetery. Those who wish may donate in his memory to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, One St. Jude Place Bldg., P.O. Box 100, Dept. 300, Memphis TN 38148-0552. Arrangements are being conducted by the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home of Fort Kent.
