MAPLETON – Eunice E. Lovley, 88, died Monday morning, March 5, 2007, at Aroostook Medical Center, Presque Isle. She was born Nov. 27, 1918, in Castle Hill, the daughter of Hadley F. and Clara Amber (Gillespie) Hilton. She graduated from Mapleton High School and Aroostook Normal School. Eunice taught school for a couple of years. She was a homemaker, mother, and helped her husband, Delance, run the farming operation. She was a member of the West Chapman Advent Church, active in the Ladies Mission Society, served on the Mapleton School Board and was a good neighbor, providing rides to anyone who needed one. She is survived by two sons and their wives, Carl and Emilie Lovley of Mapleton, and Beverly and Lucy Lovley of Castle Hill; three daughters, Sylvia Copps of Lakewood, Colo., Charlotte Allen of Easton, and Linda Staples and her husband, David, of Palm Harbor, Fla.; 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Delance; and a daughter, Carlene Lovley. Funeral services will be held in spring 2007. Spring burial will be at Castle Hill Cemetery.
