ASHLAND – Eunice L. Cloukey, 70, died unexpectedly July 28, 2004, at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born Jan. 14, 1934, in Ashland, the daughter of Mac and Edna (Brasslett) Boyce. Eunice was self-employed as a beautician in the Ashland area for many years. She was a member, past president and treasurer of the VFW Auxiliary Unit in Ashland. Eunice was very involved in her community especially in volunteer efforts including the Good Shepherd Thrift Shop. She is survived by one son, Dennis Cloukey and his wife, Michele, of Bath; three daughters, Marlene “Fea” Wynkoop of Apex, N.C., Lorene “Pet” Jackson and her husband, Greg, of Delanson, N.Y., and Carol “Crotte” White of Rapid City, S.D.; four brothers, Alton Boyce of Masardis, Eldon Boyce of Orlando, Fla.; Vernon Boyce of Mapleton, and Merlin Boyce of Cordova, Tenn.; two sisters, Anice Boyles of Ashland and Glenice St. Peter of East Waterboro; 15 grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-stepgrandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, Galen Boyce. A graveside committal service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the family lot in Our Lady of the Snows Cemetery, Frenchville Road, Ashland, with the Rev. Michael Hinkin, SOLT, officiating.
