EASTPORT – Evan Jewel Weston, 2, beloved son of Heron and Melinda (Maker) Weston died unexpectedly Sunday, March 13, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. A wonderfully loving, bright, and sweet person, Evan was a gift. A familiar face around town, he loved playing music and singing with his dad, shooting baskets at the gym, visiting the local shops and library, and enjoying his wide group of friends. In addition to his parents, Evan leaves behind a family that loved him deeply, grandparents, Paula and Craig Maker of East Machias, Janet and Paul Weston of Trescott; uncles, Damon Weston of Perry, and Josh Maker and Colleen and children, Alex and Grace of Machias. Also, great-grandparents, Jewel Damon “J.D.” Brown of Shepherdstown, W. Va., Ginnie Maker and Cape and Velma Vose of East Machias. Evan was very special in the hearts of his great aunts, Kathy Anderson and Bill of Prospect, Jane Hooper and Wayne of Kennebec, Jeanne Parker and John of Marshfield, Jolene Wood and Barry of Machiasport, and Trish Brown and Joe Van Eaton of Arlington, Va. He leaves great uncles, William Brown and Jane Tuckerman of Washington D.C., Fred Weston and Carrie of Norfolk, Va., and Peter Weston of Florida. He was also loved by his many cousins including, Ceanna Van Eaton, Ian Parker, and Seth Weston. A memorial service to honor Evan will be held in the near future.
