PATTEN – Dwight Patrick Marr, 39, has gone to rest March 13, 2005. Although he lost the battle with alcoholism, he remained a good and loving man. He was born July 25, 1965, in Island Falls. Dwight served in the U.S. Army for five years. He was always ready to tease someone or to be teased. His sense of humor made him someone special to be around. Dwight is survived by his father, Harry McCarthy and companion, Barb Griffith of Skowhegan; his mother, Louise Jones of Patten; and his siblings, Ruth and husband, Phillip Mitchell of Holden, John and wife, Sally Marr, of Patten, Kelly Marr and Paul Candage of Skowhegan, Harriett Cyr and Peggy White of Monticello, Corey Marr of Skowhegan and the Massachusetts brothers, Brian, Robert, Shawn and David. His many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews will miss their uncle Dwight. Dwight was blessed with many special friends in his life including, Marie Gigilio, Steve and Cheryl Anderson of Patten and Chris and Sonya Gallagher of Patten.
