CARIBOU – Donald C. Chapman, 85, died March 13, 2005, at Caribou. He was born Sept. 15, 1919, in Caribou, the son of Dow and Fannie (Wright) Chapman. Mr. Chapman was employed by several area potato growers and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He married Ida (Brissette) Chapman. Surviving in addition to his wife of Caribou, are two sons, Ronald Chapman of Houlton and Russell Chapman of Caribou; one daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Gary Nadeau of Caribou; three brothers, Richard Chapman of Caribou, Murry Chapman of St. Albans and Gerald Chapman of Bridgeton; four sisters, Captola Myshrall of Washburn, Mavis Byram of Orono, Mona Belanger of Caribou and Athora Donaldson of Connecticut; a daughter-in-law, Darlene Chap-man of Texas; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Mr. Chapman was predeceased by a son, Roger; two brothers, Maynard and Graydon; and three sisters, Patricia, Phyllis and Willa. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2005, from the Chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, with Fr. David Raymond, officiating. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
