MEDDYBEMPS – Evelyn A. Cousins, 92, died Feb. 17, 2005, at a Calais healthcare facility. She was born Jan. 8, 1913, in Meddybemps, the daughter of William and Florence (Connick) Tarbell. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Charles in 1980; her son, Alvah in 2001; and daughter-in-law, Jean in 2004; brothers, Alvin, Russell and Harold. Surviving are two daughters, Florence Turmel and her husband, Helon, of Meddybemps, Shirley Boyd and her husband, Donald, of New Jersey; one brother, Waldo Tarbell and his wife, Kathleen, of Pembroke; three sisters-in-law, Marion Cousins of Alexander, Stella and Marguerite Tarbell both of Massachusetts; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Saturday, at the Scott-Wilson Funeral Home, Calais. Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, at the funeral home, with Pastor Bob Hinton officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery, Meddybemps. Donations in Evelyn’s memory may be made to the Meddybemps Church on Fire Dept.
