BREWER – Hazel B. Eggleston, 74, died peacefully Feb. 17, 2005, at her home in Brewer. She was born May 24, 1930, in Somesville the daughter of Alvah W. and Dorothy I. (Bryant) Bunker. Hazel worked at Eastern Maine Medical Center as a director of nursing for many years before she retired. She had previously worked at Utterback’s Hospital in Bangor. Her life was dedicated to her family, her work and her home. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles in her spare time. She is survived by her brother, Harvey Bunker of Islesford; a sister, Audrey Barton and her husband, James, of Grand Island, Fla.; a cousin, Shirley Shouley of Orange City, Fla.; many nieces and nephews, and a special friend, June Bowden of Bangor. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard; sisters, Ramona Blood and Gloria Gordon. Memorial services will be announced in the spring.
