SANGERVILLE – Evelyn B. Godsoe, 96, died Dec. 20, 2007, at Hibbard’s Nursing Home, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born July 5, 1911, in Kingman, the daughter of Charles and Annie (Thompson) Boutot. She and her husband, Charles, owned and operated Ross Drug Store, Guilford, for many years. Later, Evelyn worked for the superintendent of schools in Guilford until her retirement. She was a Communicant of Holy Family Catholic Church, Sangerville, and was a member of the Catholic Women’s Club. She was a volunteer at Hibbard Nursing Home and Mayo Regional Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft. She was a member and past president of the Zephyrus Club, Guilford. She is survived by a daughter, Mary and her husband, James Buxton, of Cumberland, Wis.; four grandchildren, Michael Buxton, Susanne Capparelli, Julie Gray and Matthew Buxton; six great- grandchildren, Anthony, Paul, Megan, Colin, Chaz and Tyson; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, four brothers, two sisters; and a granddaughter, Lisa Buxton. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Dover-Foxcroft, with the Rev. James Robichaud officiating.
