EVELYN E. BLACKDEN HARTLAND – Evelyn E. (McDougal) Blackden, 86, passed away July 5, 2006, at a Dexter healthcare facility. She was born Dec. 11, 1919, at Woodland, a daughter of Ernest and Valti (Ward) McDougal. After graduating from Benton High School, she married the late Merle L. Blackden May 4, 1941. Evelyn was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by two sons, Lee of Seattle and Owen and wife, Betty, of Corinna; two brothers, Willis and wife, Charlotte, Luther and wife, Connie McDougal, all of Hartland; three sisters, Louise McCloud of Portland, Mary and husband, Mickey Burrell, of Palmyra, Marjorie and husband, Wendell Bubar, of St. Albans; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, at the Pleasant Street Christian Church, Corinna, with the Rev. Edward Jaworski officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Hartland. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal Chapel, Corinna.
