FORT KENT – Evelyn Theriault, 85, died peacefully July 12, 2006, at a Fort Kent healthcare facility. She was born April 2, 1921, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Denis and Josephine (Voisine) Theriault. Some of Evelyn’s favorite past times were crocheting, knitting, and playing bingo. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Vaillancourt of Oxford; two foster sons, Darrel and David Thibodeau of Fort Kent; three foster daughters, Sally Westleigh of Bethel, Berdina Whittemore of Norway, Maine and Danielle Fraser of Fort Kent; six grandchildren, Francis and Sheryl Westleigh, Heather and William Demarest Christopher Whittemore, and Kadence Vaillancourt; one brother, Yvon Theriault of Fort Kent; and three sisters, Sadie Levesque of Fort Kent, Izy Thibodeau of St. Francis and Mamie Theriault of Fort Kent. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Percy Theriault in 1990; and four sisters, Mindy Charette, Delia Pelletier, Laura Conley and Theresa Lavoie. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday until time of service at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Committal services will be after the service in the parish cemetery. Those who wish may donate in Evelyn’s memory to the Edgar J. Paradis Cancer Fund, Northern Maine Medical Center, 194 East Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
