MARS HILL – Fairfield E. Boulier, 88, husband for 58 years to the late Alice G. (Oakes) Boulier, passed away Oct. 15, 2006, at a Presque Isle health care facility. He was born July 24, 1918, in Westfield, the son of Edward G. Boulier Sr. and Idella (Ireland) Boulier. After graduating from Aroostook Central Institute, Mars Hill, Mr. Boulier was later employed at Loring Air Force Base and the Maine State Highway Department. He was very well known throughout the state and Aroostook County as an avid automobile salesman, having worked for several auto dealerships in this area. He is survived by his daughter and her husband, Bonnie Ann and Frederick C. Clayton of Washburn; a son, Geoffrey L. Boulier of Augusta; a grandson and his wife, Erik E. and Pamela Jo Boulier; a special great-granddaughter, Riley Loraine Boulier, all of Elkhorn, Neb.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by three sisters, Doris Thomas, Lillian Hallett and Ella Beckwith; and two brothers, Philip R. Boulier Sr. and Edward G. Boulier Jr. There will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Marshall Cemetery, Westfield with Pastor Lawrence Beals officiating. Mr. Boulier’s family expresses their thanks for the wonderful care given him during his stay at the Presque isle Nursing Home. Arrangements are in the care of the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.
