INDIAN ISLAND – Fawn Louise Bear, 41, died unexpectedly Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006, at her home. She was born April 23, 1965, in Boston, the daughter of Alice R. (Polchies) Day. Fawn was a graduate of Old Town High School, Class of 1990 and later continued her education at Eastern Maine Community College in the medical transcription field. She enjoyed her work as a self-employed “Jill of all trades.” Fawn enjoyed working in her yard and in her home and especially loved her four cats. She also enjoyed kayaking and visiting her aunts. She is survived and will be sadly missed by her mother, Alice Day of Woodstock, New Brunswick; her husband, Brian of Tobique, New Brunswick; brother, Jeffrey Dennis; brother, Kerry Shawn Dennis; brother, Larry Fowler; brother, James Fowler; sister, Deidre Smith; sister, Patricia Fowler; two “aunties,” Morning Star Polchies and Viola Cotta; many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by a brother, Kevin Dennis; and a very special nephew, Nathan Fowler. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Ann’s Church, Indian Island, with Deacon Fred Harrigan, Homolist and the Rev. Thomas Lequin, celebrant. Friends may call noon Wednesday until the time of service Thursday. Burial will be held 3 p.m. Friday at the Tribal Cemetery, Indian Island. Arrangements in the care of the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town.
