HERMON – Faye Diane (White) Keirstead, 68, passed away Jan. 20, 2004, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born Feb. 8, 1935, in Hermon, the daughter of Bertha and Herbert Snow. Faye was a lifelong resident of Hermon and graduated from Hermon High School in 1953. She married her high school sweetheart, David Keirstead on June 12, 1953. She was employed for many years at the Hermon Town Office and served as town clerk. Later she was employed at Ansewn Shoe. She retired last year from John Nickerson Keyboard Center. She is survived by her husband of 50 years David W. Keirstead; one son, Dwight Keirstead and his wife, Lorraine, of Hermon; two daughters, Valrie and her husband, Donald Smith, of Carmel; Tami and her husband, Glen Quintal of Glenburn; five grandchildren, Mandy and her husband, Tom, Jamie, Megan, Sarah, and David; one great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn; two brothers, Carl White and his wife, Flo, of Plainfield, Conn.; Allen White and his wife, Micki, of Stephenson, Va.; one sister, Sharon and special brother-in-law, John Nickerson, of Hermon; a special sister-in-law, Charlotte McNeal of Bangor and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Faye was predeceased by her granddaughter, Lisa Marie Frost; and her sister, Beverly Melito. Faye will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her family.
