ST. FRANCIS – Ferdinand Thibodeau, 94, died Nov. 6, 2004, in Caribou. He was born March 8, 1910, in St. Francis, the son of Benoit and Flavie (Desjardin) Thibodeau. He was very proud of his service during World War II and the campaigns he was in, Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe. Ferdinand was a member of the VFW Post No. 9609 of Fort Kent and the American Legion Jandreau-Connors Post 180 of St. Francis. He is survived by his brother, Florent Thibodeau and his wife, Kazuko, of Baileyville; his sister, Mrs. Annette Harvey of Norton, Mass.; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Phillip and Louis Thibodeau and a sister, Rosalie Michaud. Friends may call at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home in Fort Kent, Tuesday 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, 11 a.m. until the time of departure for St. Francis. A Mass of Christian Burial with full military honors will be celebrated 1 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Charles Catholic Church in St. Francis with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating.
