SOUTHINGTON, CONN. – Fernand “Jack” Michaud, 85, died Wednes-day, Jan. 31, 2007, at a Con-necticut hospital. He was born Aug. 2, 1921, in St. Agatha, the son of the late Albert and Zenaide (Audibert) Michaud. Jack was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Army. He retired in 1990 from the Ironworkers Hartford Local 15. Jack loved to dance, especially the jitterbug and won numerous dance contests. He is survived by his four children, Ruth (Carey) Doucette and her husband, Michael, of Bristol, Conn., Carl Michaud and his wife, Debbie, of Unionville, Charlene Michaud of Bangor and Donna Michaud of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; four grandchildren, three great-grand-children; a sister, Priscilla Dufour of Van Buren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Val and Clarence Michaud; and a sister, Georgette Misiek. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 North Main St., Southington, Conn.
