BREWER – Patricia L. Joy, 75, died Feb. 5, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. She was born March 15, 1931, in Southwest Harbor, the daughter of Clarence and Velma (Seavey) Lewis. Pat was a 1949 graduate of Pemetic High School, Southwest Harbor. She will be remembered as a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and was a very caring person, accepting everyone as they were. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Surviving are her loving husband of 55 years, Douglas B. Joy of Brewer; three children, Carol A. Gross and her husband, Randy, of Brewer, Richard W. Joy of Westbrook and Mary S. Libby of Eddington; three grandchildren, Jason A. Gross and his wife, Jaime, Jennifer M. Morin and her husband, Christopher, and Benjamin J. Mooreside; four great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Sarah, Matthew and Blake; two sisters, Barbara Jewett of Ellsworth and Betty Pettigrove of Florida; one brother, Bobby Lewis of Surry; brother-in-law, Robert A. Joy and his wife, Sue, of Troy; and several loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Elsie Stanley; and a special family friend, Stephen Patrick McCann. Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where a funeral service will be held 3:30 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Scott Cleveland, pastor of the Second Congregational Church, South Brewer, officiating. Spring interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer.
