ST. AGATHA – Fernand “Joe” Sirois, 70, died unexpectedly June 20, 2005, at a Fort Kent hospital. He was born March 19, 1926, in St. Agatha, the son of Maxime and Marie Ann (Fraser) Sirois. He retired from Fraser Paper; was a member of the St. Agatha Historical Society; Director of St. Agatha Housing, The American Legion Post 145 of Frenchville, Church choir and altar server and the Senior Citizen Club. He is survived by his wife, Albertine (Chasse) of 56 years; four sons, Ronald of Hartford, Conn., Robert of Fort Kent, Paul of East Hampton, Conn., and Allen of Saco; six daughters, Francoise and her husband, Lewis Saucier of Tennessee, Lorraine and her husband, Bob Theriault of Arizona, Arlene and her husband, James St. Jarre of Madawaska, Rella Cyr of Madawaska, GinetteCarter of Portland, Stella and her husband, Bob Hills of Windham; 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Roland of St. David, Normand and Raoul, both of Southington, Conn.; seven sisters, Rolande and O’Neil Dumais of Frenchville, Therese and Roger Hebert of East Millinocket, Aline and Xavier Bosse of Caribou, Jeanne Chartier of Madawaska, Gilberthe and Jean Paul Jalbert of Southington, Conn., Yvette of Madawaska, Lorrette and James Paradis of Newington, Conn. He was predeceased by one brother, Louis. Friends and relatives may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Michaud Funeral Home, St. Agatha and 9 a.m. Thursday until the time of services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Agatha Catholic Church with the Rev. Phil Cyr officiating. Burial in the St. Agatha Upper Cemetery.
