GREENBUSH – Fillmore G. Harriman, 70, died peacefully Sept. 20, 2007, surrounded by his family, at his home. Born May 31, 1937, in Greenbush, he was the son of Frank and Alice (Madden) Harriman. Fillmore enjoyed spending time at his hunting camp, gardening and working in his garage. He adored his grandsons and passed on to them his legacy. He was in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1962. He retired from the Department of Transportation, April 18, 1997. He was predeceased by his parents; one brother, Elmore Harriman; and two sisters, Patricia and Elmora Harriman. Fillmore is survived by his daughter, Leah R. Malave and her fiance, Jonathan Sandau, of Greenbush; two grandsons, Gracen and Bradey Malave, both of Greenbush; several cousins and close friends who will deeply miss him. A graveside service will be held 3:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at Olamon Cemetery, Greenbush. There will be a gathering to celebrate Fillmore’s life after the service. Arrangements are entrusted with Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town.
