CLIFTON and BANGOR Flora Louise Fern, 72, died peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, with family at her side at her home, after a long illness. She was born March 12, 1934, in Ellsworth, the daughter of Philip and Joanne (Young) Gusha. Flora enjoyed going for rides with her husband, animals, going to bingo and especially spending time with family. She will be sadly missed by her beloved cat, which she had for 16 years, Oliver. She is survived by her husband, N. Thomas Fern of Clifton; a son, Steven Fern and his fianc?e, Felica Brooks, of Eddington; a daughter, Nancy and her husband, Steve Dumond, of Clifton; a sister, Vivan Knox of Eddington; a brother, Leon Gusha and his wife, Sued, of Brewer; and a brother, Clayton Gusha and his wife, Cheryl, of Greenbush. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Donald and Philip Jr.; and a sister, Phyllis. A funeral service will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, March 3, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev Trudy Stone, chaplain of New Hope Hospice, Holden, officiating.
