OKEECHOBEE, Fla. – Robert W. Cameron, 75, formerly of Bangor, passed away Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, after a long illness. Mr. Cameron was born Sept. 30, 1931, in Lansing, Mich., to William and Hazel (Davis) Cameron. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a tech sergeant after 23 years. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and a deacon at Buckhead Ridge Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Cameron and her children, Jeannie Andersen and her husband, Michael, of Dunnellon, Fla., Peter Burke and wife, Debbie, of Bangor and Raymond Burke of Orlando, Fla.; grandchildren, Julie Philbrick of Hampden, Mindy Foren of Stetson and Sarah Burke of Bangor; great-grandchildren, Zachary Philbrick and Kelli and Carrie Foren; sister, Evelyn Bumstead and husband, Bob, of Michigan; aunts, Pearl White of Illinois, Shirley Lehman of California and Violet Charkowski and husband, Bob, of Bradenton; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, March 4, at Buckhead Ridge Baptist Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home and Crematory.
