PITTSFIELD – Florence A. Vicnaire, 81, passed away Friday, April 9, 2004, at a rehabilitation center in Waterville after a brief illness. She was born Aug. 18, 1922, in Parkman. Her parents were the late Joseph and Carrie McNeal. Florence married Paul Joseph Vicnaire on Dec. 17, 1938. She spent almost all of her adult life in Pittsfield. She was a former member of the Rebekah’s in Pittsfield. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. Her family was very important to her and she loved taking care of her grandchildren. Florence is survived by her son, Anthony Vicnaire of Waterville; daughter, Valerie Cianchette and husband, Chris, of Pittsfield; grandchildren, Brent Vicnaire, Aron Vicnaire, Matt Cianchette, Audra Cianch-ette, and Emily Cianchette; great-grandchildren, Cameron and Brady Vicnaire; and two special cousins, Madeline Huff and Timmy Huff. She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Paul Joseph Vicnaire, in 1984. There will be no visiting hours. A graveside service will take place at a later date in the spring at Maloon Cemetery in St. Albans. Memorial contributions may be made in Florence’s name to the American Heart Association, Maine Affiliate, P.O. Box 346, Augusta, ME 04332-0346. Arrangements are under the care of Donald H. Shorey Funeral Chapel, 35 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield.
