BELFAST – Florence M. Bragdon, 79, of Belfast, died Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at a local healthcare facility. Born in Thorndike, May 7, 1924, she was the daughter of George H. and Addie L. Gordon Carson. She married Roland H. Bragdon, April 16, 1943, in Belfast. Florence loved playing board games, watching game shows on TV, Bingo, listening to country music, roller-skating, dancing, shopping, driving her car and bowling. She had been on bowling leagues and loved to go to the Bay Festival in Belfast with her sister Doris. She was a member of the Swanville Grange. She was predeceased by one sister; Mabel Ogdon; three brothers, Kenneth, Roy and Ansel Carson; two stepsisters, Ada Boulter and Alice Nadeau; one stepson, Roland Bragdon Jr. She is survived by two daughters, Janice and her husband, Charles Doolan Sr. of Lynn Haven, Fla. and Joyce and her husband, Penson Bartlett Sr., of Searsmont; one son, Stephen and his wife, Lauretta Bragdon of Searsport; three stepdaughters, Barbara Cook, Sylvia Thompson and Rosemary Gerren; one sister, Doris Curtis and her husband, Frank, of Unity; eight grandchildren and several step- grandchildren; great-grand-children, nephews and nieces, many special friends, Jack and Sue Frasier, Gail and Charles Gilmore, Connie Bragdon, Richard Farmer, Alice Cochran and Kevin Moulton.
