LEE – Floyd A. Tozier passed from this life to his eternal rest, Dec. 10, 2006, at a Lincoln health care facility. He was born Oct. 6, 1933, in Mattawamkeag, the son of Ellen (Bartlett) and Ellery Tozier. He attended school in Mattawamkeag and then worked for the Great Northern Paper Co., East Millinocket, for 24 years. In 1974, he moved with his family to Ontario, Canada, where he resided for 25 years. He worked for the Ministry of Transportation and retired at age 50, after a massive heart attack. He continued to stay active ministering in hospitals and nursing homes. In 1999, he moved back to Maine, after the death of his first wife, Marion Vandine Tozier. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Bowers Tozier; his children, Jolaine and Bill Lowe of Harrison, Tenn., Ellen and Fred Stanley of Soddy Daisey, Tenn., Mary and Peter Domarchuck of Niagara on the Lake, Ontario, Lauren and Corinne Tozier of Appleton, Floyd Jr. and Sheri Tozier of Niagara Falls, Ontario; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Tozier of Chattanooga, Tenn.; stepchildren, Fletcher and Lisa Bowers of Elk River, Minn., and Gale and Keith Beers of Augusta, 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grand-children; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Virginia Tozier of Clinton, Conn.; a sister, Janet Willette of Millinocket. In addition to his parents and his first wife, Marion, he was predeceased by a son, Jonathan Tozier; a daughter, Mary Beth Tozier; and a sister, Mildred Duncan. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Vince Hartford officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Grindstone Road Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Food Pantry at CMA Church, Lee, or to the American Heart Association.
