LAMOINE – Floyd S. Veysey, 58, died June 18, 2006, at a Portland hos-pital. He was born March 10, 1948, in Danforth, the son of Lawrence A. and Rhoda M. (Cropley) Veysey. Floyd served with the 82nd Airborne in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded a Bronze Star. He graduated from Husson College in Bangor with a bachelor of science in accounting in 1980. Floyd became a certified public accountant in 1983. In 1986, he became a partner with Horton, McFarland & Veysey, LLC in Ellsworth. He was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, AICPA. He is survived by his mother of Houlton; his wife of 34 years, Robin (Crandall) of Lamoine; son, Richard M. Veysey of Lamoine; brothers, Larry Veysey of Boston, Russell Veysey and wife, Etta, of Topsham, Mitchell Veysey and wife, Sandy, of Hodgdon, Laurel Veysey and wife, Cindy, of Houlton, Don Veysey of Waterville, Doug Veysey of Saco; sisters, Lois Flewelling and husband, Dale, of Houlton, Dedra Quint and husband, Lenny, of Hodgdon, Sherri Toner and husband, Matt, of Clinton; a special nephew, Chad Quint; and many other nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, June 22, at the Lamoine Baptist Church with the Rev. David Henry officiating. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Lamoine.
