MILFORD – Frances C. King, 87, wife of the late Raymond A. King, died unexpectedly March 23, 2004. She was born Feb. 12, 1917, in Old Town, a daughter of Eugene and Nellie (Littlefield) Moreau. Mrs. King was a 1934 graduate of Old Town High School and graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Lewiston in 1937. She retired from the Cutler Health Center at the University of Maine, Orono in 1983 following more than 30 years of service. She was past president and 50 year member of the Emblem Club, was active in the Old Town bowling league. Frances was a communicant of Holy Family Parish and volunteered for various activities. She is survived by two children, Brian King of Milford and Carole Kus of Augusta; one grandson, Derek D. Kuss of Deltona, Fla.; a special niece, Rosemarie LeGasse of Bangor; a brother, Eugene Moreau Jr. and his wife, Patricia, of Farmingdale. She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Raymond in 1985 and a sister, Esther LeGasse. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Parish with the Rev. Normand Richard, celebrant. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Old Town. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Caring Connections, 17 Second St., Bangor, 04401. Immediately following the services all are invited to return to the Parish hall for a light luncheon and continued fellowship. Those who wish may visit to view a life story or publish a tribute.
