WATERVILLE – Frances G. McGrath, 88, has passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, at Lakewood Care Center, Waterville, to be with her husband of 60 years, Michael F. McGrath. She was born at the family home in Otter Creek, the daughter of Alton and Alberta (Bunker) Grover. She attended and graduated from Gilman High School, Northeast Harbor and Farm-ington State College, Farmington. In years past she belonged to the Waterville Art Society. She always enjoyed reading. She was very proud of her family. Frances was predeceased by her parents, her husband; sisters, Thelma Wass, Hortense Meader and Barbara Babcock; brothers, Cecil “Buster” Grover and George Grover. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Barbara A. Fitch and her husband, William, of Waterville; her son, Michael T. McGrath of New Hampshire. She also leaves behind to remember her, her grandchildren, Courtney Mosher and her husband, Derrick, Anne Goodreau and her husband, Lance, all of New Hampshire, Christopher Fitch and his wife, Melissa, of Waterville and Heidi Loubier and her husband, Ryan, of Winslow; nine great-grandchildren; her sister, Helen Ellis of Orono; a sister-in-law, Mabel “Cubby” Grover of Otter Creek; and several nieces and nephews. Upon the request of Frances, there will be no visiting hours. A spring graveside service will be published at a later date.
