MEMPHIS, TENN. – Frances Pauletta “Polly” Bouchard Van Horn, departed this earth Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005, at St. Francis Nursing Home, Memphis Tenn. Pauletta was born in Old Orchard Beach, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Bishop) Bouchard. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, John E. Van Horn Sr. Survivors include her son, John E. Van Horn Jr. of Germantown, Tenn.; and his wife, Elaine. She is also survived by one daughter, Helen E. Gwaltney (Van Horn) and husband, Thomas W. Gwaltney Sr.; six grandchildren, Thomas W. Gwaltney Jr, Coral Springs, Fla. and his wife, Neia, granddaughter, Jenna Gwaltney, great-grandson, Will Gwaltney, Katrina Magdon (Gwaltney), Montgomery, Ala. and husband Stan, great-grandson Trey Magdon; great-granddaughter, Janice Pettit (Gwaltney), Lawrenceville, Ga., and husband, Bret; great granddaughter, Ashley Pettit, and great-grandson, Andrew Pettit; granddaughter, Catherine Brown (Van Horn) Austin, Texas, great-grandsons, Zachary and Max Brown; grandson, Stephen Van Horn, Houston, Texas; grandson, Alexander Van Horn, Oklahoma City, Okla. and wife, Sara and great-grandson, Ethan; sisters, Betty Michaud and her husband, Francis and Maguerita Easter, and her husband, Guy, Patricia Kane and her husband, Walter, Claudette Townsend, and her husband, John, Ramona Gallant and her husband, Paul; brother, Frank Bouchard and his wife, Diane; a special brother-in-law, Michael Salvato and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9 at the Dolby & Dorr Funeral Chapel, 76 State St., Gorham, with the prayer service at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at St. Anne’s Church, Main Street, Gorham. Private burial will take place at the Maine Veterans’ Cemetery, Augusta. A reception and continued fellowship will be held at St. Anne’s parish hall following the funeral mass.
