TAYLORS, S.C. and LOWELL – Frank T. Windle Sr., 62, of 4 Brooke Ann Ct., Taylors, S.C., formerly of Lowell, died April 20, 2006, at his home in Taylors, S.C. He was born Oct. 6, 1943, in Lawrence, Mass., the son of George and Joan (Duncan) Windle. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was employed by Great Northern Paper Company for 25 years as manager of information systems, retiring in 1999. Most recently, he was employed with Bowater, Inc. in Greenville, S.C. as a senior project manager in the information systems department. He leaves his wife of 34 years, Christine Swett Windle; their children, Frank Windle Jr. and his wife, Liana and daughter, Haylee of Orrington, daughter, Lindsay L. Windle of Richmond, Va.; a granddaughter, Taylor Christine Moody of Bangor; his sisters, Jane Walsh of Nottingham, N.H. and Margaret Conley of Wakefield, Mass.; a brother, Tom Windle of Jackson Hole, Wyo.; and his best friend and hunting companion, who gave him immense pleasure, his Llewellin Setter, Journey Grousewing. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, April 28, at the Howland Cemetery in Howland.
