ENFIELD – Isabelle Lemay passed away April 21, 2006, at her home in Enfield, with her family by her side, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born Isabelle Reine Dickinson to Joy and Philomene (Beaulieu) Dickinson in Biencourt, Quebec. She was a devoted Catholic and a member of St. Leo’s Parish in Howland for 42 years. Isabelle was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Ladies of St. Anne, Knights of Columbus Wives, St. Leo’s Choir, the CCD program, St Leo’s Food Cupboard, and was an extraordinary eucharistic minister. Whenever a helping hand was needed, Isabelle was there to help. She had a gift for organizing and planning events and had done so for many years. She was an exceptional cook and spent many hours in the kitchen at St. Leo’s Parish and at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Isabelle loved her home on the lake and enjoyed planting and nurturing beautiful gardens. She also liked to paint, knit, sew and sing in the choir. She was an amazing mother and wife. Isabelle touched many lives in her 73 years. She was memere to many. Now she is a beautiful angel who will forever live in our hearts. She left behind two brothers, Wilbur and Raymond; and three sisters, Gladys, Madeline and Margo. Isabelle is survived by her husband of 50 years, Pierre Lemay; her sons, George, Roger, Paul, Patrick and Richard Lemay; a daughter, Maryanne (Lemay) McKay; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Howland, with the Rev. Leroy Landry presiding. Interment will be in West Enfield Cemetery.
