BREWER – Frankie (Grant) O’Donnell, 55, wife of John F. O’Donnell, passed away Jan. 13, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Aug. 31, 1948, in St. Stevens, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of Harold A. and Christine (Campbell) Grant. Frankie was a graduate of Schenck High School, Class of 1966 and the Eastern Maine General Hospital School of Nursing in 1969. She was a registered nurse and had worked for more than 30 years in the operating room at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Millinocket and was the Past Worthy Advisor of the Millinocket Chapter of the Rainbow Girls. She was predeceased by her father, Harold A. Grant. Frankie is survived by her husband of 32 years, John, of Brewer; two sons, Aaron of Brewer and Christopher of Bangor; mother, Christine C. Grant of Winter Haven, Fla.; brother, Harold A. Grant and his wife, Anita, of Lakeland, Fla.; sister, Sharon E. Coffin and her husband, Charles, of Winter Haven, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Toby and her husband, Alfred Corbett of Bangor, Patty and her husband, Ed Par‚, of Hancock and Mary Bishop of Hermon; a special friend, C.F. McInnis of Holden; nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved cat, Toni, and granddog, Otto. Visiting hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden, where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday. Interment in the springtime will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Winterport. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Frankie’s memory may be made to Brewer Youth Hockey, PO Box 594, Brewer, ME 04412.
