DEXTER – Thelma C. Towle, 90, died Jan. 8, 2004, at a Calais nursing home. She was born Dec. 14, 1913, in Sangerville, daughter of James and Eva (Ronco) Clukey. She was a communicant of Saint Anne’s Catholic Church in Dexter. She was a member and past president of the VFW Auxiliary and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by a son, John Francis Michaud of Princeton; two daughters, Colena Beaton of Tamarac, Fla., and Doloris Bashaw of Clinton, Mass.; a brother, James Clukey of Dexter; a sister, Ella Provost of Madison; 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, in Dexter, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Anne’s Catholic Church at a time to be announced, when all of the family is able to be together in the spring.
