PITTSFIELD – Freda M. (Gould) Bagley, 87, of North Main Street, passed away Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, in Pittsfield, after a period of failing health. She was born Aug. 28, 1919, in Pittsfield, the daughter of Jerome P. and Lettie (Brooks) Gould. She graduated from Maine Central Institute, Pittsfield, Class of 1937. She was employed by Dysarts, Pittsfield, for many years and also tended her flock of more than 200 local children, whom she loved dearly. She enjoyed vegetable gardening and canning, and took great pride in her flower gardens. She is survived by two sisters, Gladys Cookson and Evelyn Wilber and her husband, Harold, both of Pittsfield, many nieces and nephews; and a special niece, Kimberly Duncombe. She was predeceased by a brother, Arnold Gould; two sisters, Helen Wheeler and Ethel Wyman; and her ex-husband, Richard Bagley. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Village Cemetery, Pittsfield. Arrangements are entrusted to Donald H. Shorey Funeral Chapel, 35 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield.
