BANGOR – Frederick H. MacDonald, 72, died Oct. 3, 2006, at his Bangor home. He was born March 15, 1934, in Bangor, the son of Augustus and Madeline (Crocker) MacDonald. Fred served with the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 1989 with 30 years of service. He was a great fan of all sports but most importantly he enjoyed his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joyce (Cammack) MacDonald of Bangor; two sons and their wives, Thomas MacDonald and Allison of Delaware, Joseph MacDonald and Monica of West Gardiner; one daughter and her husband, Amy and Timothy Seymour of Holden; his sister, Catherine Ericson of Holden; eight grandchildren, Thomas Jr., Jacob, Erin and Emma MacDonald, Emily and Charlotte MacDonald, Stefanie and Kylie Seymour. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Melba Feltcher, Annie Robshaw; and two brothers, James and Edward MacDonald. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, at St. John’s Catholic Church, 207 York St., Bangor, with the Very Rev. Richard McLaughlin, pastor, celebrant.
