Thank You To The Family And Friends Of GAIL SMALL BAILEY Sept.13, 1951 – May 23, 2006 Tears at the door, Tears in the night. For six years we never said goodbye at Gail’s door without crying all the way home. Six years to the day Gail left this earth, 2190 days and nights. On Mother’s Day this May, she came to us with toasted marshmallows in her frail hands, because she knew her mother liked them. Standing in front of her dad, kissing him, with his old sick eyes planted on her face she said, “Dad, you know we are losing the battle.” The battle has just begun for us, to find reason to face the empty dawn. To Gail’s brother, Terry, his faithful wife, Margaret; and all of Gail’s loving and caring two aunts, Honey and Bebe; one Uncle Harold and wife, Ruth; many, many, cousins, and a gaggle of friends, you all know how much she loved you. If any of us needed a buck or a kiss, Gail was there. We, her parents, have thanked her husband, Steve Bailey, a thousand times in words and notes for being there for her while we in our old age could not be. We waited and cried through the many days of treatments and nights of her illness needing so badly to touch her and tell her one more time that we loved her and it was all right. Now, it is all right Gail for you. You are at peace and we will be also one day, but not this day. You will be deeply missed by all the lives that knew you. Flash that smile and “dance on girlie,” while your mother puts on her war paint, just like we always did to face the day. Ken and Kay Small The Proud Parents Of Gail Small Bailey
