BANGOR – Garold Edwin Clewley Sr., 71, passed away Jan. 21, 2004, at the Maine Veterans Home in Bangor. He was born Sept. 16, 1932, in Bangor, the son of Arthur M. and Ethel M. (Harding) Clewley. Garold served 12 years in the U.S. Army. He was employed at Hartley’s as a mechanic for several years. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ella (Smith) Clewley of Bangor; his children, Pam Lindsay and husband, Dale, of Bangor, Gary Jr. and wife, Barbara, of Bangor, Kathy Clewley and life partner, James McClure, of Bangor, Tony Clewley of Veazie; one sister, Capi Chambers of Coatsville, Pa.; 10 grandchildren, Danny, Brian, Matt, Michelle, Kaylee, Joshua, Sarah, Makayla, Erin and Kamryn; one great-granddaughter, Brianna; and his beloved cat, Missy.
